2018 Race Schedule
Here is the line-up of our events with some changes from prior years:
March 11, 2018: We have a NEW Leprechaun! Her name is Caitlin and she is a fast, former UNR Cross Country & Track team member. So to beat her you will need to be speedy. Registration is open now!
June 1-2, 2018: 14th Annual Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay Run Adventure
June 2, 2018: 6th Annual Capital Odyssey Relay
June 2, 2018: 4th Annual Comstock Odyssey Relay
NEW - September 8-9, 2018: We are excited to start a new celebration of running and fitness and Reno. Here is the schedule:
NEW - Reno Mile: This will be a one mile race on Virginia Street in downtown Reno, with a number of
heats from fun to serious. Everyone can run a mile!
A variety of fun activities to choose from that promote running, fitness and Reno.
Pasta dinner, followed by a running themed movie.
50th Annual Journal Jog 8K Run/Walk: This may be the retirement / farewell of Reno's Oldest Footrace, so come out and celebrate the milestone anniversary of this longstanding event!
NEW DATE - 6th Annual Reno 10 Miler & Relay:
You can either run the full 10 miles on your own or put together a 2-3 person relay team.
NEW - Reno Running Fest Double Dare Medal: Participants who complete the Reno Mile AND either the Journal Jog or Reno 10 Miler & Relay will earn a special medal recognizing their achievement of two races in two days.
NEW - OneTen Showdown: We will add the times together of participants running in the Reno Mile AND Reno 10 Miler. The top 3 men and top 3 women in each age group (based on the Reno 10 Miler age groups) will win special awards.
NEW - A Way To Run The Reno 10 Miler But Get The Journal Jog Swag Too: Part of the Reno 10 Miler route will be the 4.97 miles of the Journal Jog course. So by running the Reno 10 Miler it will be fair to say that you ran the Journal Jog too. No, we won't be able to give you a time for the Journal Jog and put you in those results. But if you want to commemorate the occasion by requesting a Journal Jog finisher's medal and/or purchasing a Journal Jog race shirt, you may do so when you register.
