OneTen Showdown - We will add the times together of participants running in the Reno Mile AND Reno 10 Miler. The top 3 men and top 3 women in each age group (based on the Reno 10 Miler age groups) will win special awards.

ARE YOU RUNNING THE RENO 10 MILER BUT ALSO WANT TO GET THE JOURNAL JOG FINISHER'S MEDAL AND RACE SHIRT?

Part of the Reno 10 Miler route will be the 4.97 miles of the Journal Jog course. So by running the Reno 10 Miler it will be fair to say that you ran the Journal Jog too. No, we won't be able to give you a time for the Journal Jog and put you in those results. But if you want to commemorate the occasion by requesting a Journal Jog finisher's medal and/or purchasing a Journal Jog race shirt, you may do so when you register.

COURSES

Reno Mile - 1 mile, run, relay, race, Reno, Nevada

Reno Mile

The one mile route will be entirely on Virginia Street in downtown Reno. We will close Virginia Street from Court Street to 6th Street. The race route will be an out and back course. This is typical of most mile races on city streets in the United States. You will run under the famous Reno Arch twice. The start line and finish line will be outside of the Old Post Office at 50 S. Virginia Street in downtown Reno. We have posted a map of the Reno Mile course here.

Reno 10 Miler & Relay - 10 mile, run, relay, race, Reno, Nevada

Reno 10 Miler & Relay

Course Description »

The course for this event will be new in 2018. This year this event is paying tribute to the celebration of the Journal Jog, Reno's Oldest Footrace, reaching its 50th year. So the start / finish line will be the same as for the Journal Jog, on Foster Drive outside of the Boys and Girls Club facility located at 1300 Foster Dr across from the Reno High track / football field. In addition, 4.97 miles of the course will be the actual Journal Jog course, so every runner who runs the 10 Miler can also claim that he or she completed the Journal Jog too on this milestone year. We have posted a map of the Reno 10 Miler & Relay course here.

Journal Jog - 8K, run, walk, stroller, race, Reno, Nevada

Journal Jog

Course Description »

The course for this event will be the same as in the many recent years. The only difference will be that the start / finish line will be on Foster Drive outside of the Boys and Girls Club facility located at 1300 Foster Dr across from the Reno High track / football field. The Journal Jog for many years started and finished in this location. So in honor of the 50th anniversary of Reno's Oldest Footrace we thought we'd move the start / finish area closer to where this race began and ended for many years. One other big plus about this location: as part of our Reno Running Fest and celebration of the 50th Annual Journal Jog we can have a beer garden in the parking lot of the Boys and Girls Club; we could not serve alcohol on the Reno High campus. We have posted the Journal Jog course map here.
