Yes, there still will be our speedy real life leprechaun to beat. If your time is faster than hers, then plan to pick up your special prize when you pick up your race goodies.

Don’t despair if the leprechaun’s time is faster than yours. For every runner and walker who the leprechaun beats, the leprechaun’s pot of gold will grow in size. Who will benefit from the increased pot of gold? The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery), who is Race178’s non profit partner in the event.

For each of the first 8 years of this event, Race178 has made a large donation to the Discovery Museum: $5,000 each year.

This year unfortunately we will not be making such a large donation given a number of factors including that we have allowed over 1,000 runners and walkers from last year’s cancelled Leprechaun Race to participate this year without paying an entry fee.

If you would like to make your own donation separately to the Discovery Museum, please do so.  They could really use your financial support given how the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted their wonderful organization.
