Virtual Race Option

VIRTUAL RACE OPTION

We recognize that circumstances may exist where you cannot participate in person or you choose not to participate in person. Nevertheless we wanted to give you the opportunity to participate virtually. Simply register for the virtual option and run/walk anywhere and anytime you choose. We will mail you your medals and shirt, if you ordered one.

Registration

Entry fees will be the same as the “in-person” events. Last day to register online will be September 8, 2021. Prices here.

For the virtual option there will be no distinction for the type of Reno Mile Heat or categories for the Journal Jog 8K. None of that applies. You will simply run/walk your Reno Mile and/or Journal Jog 8K to be considered a finisher.

What do I get?

We recognize that you won’t receive the benefits from being at the race itself. But we will have to ship your swag to you and a portion of your entry fee will cover the cost of that shipping. We will ship your swag the week of September 13, 2021.

• Reno Mile Commemorative Coin
• Journal Jog Finisher’s Medal
• Double Dare Medal if you sign up for both the Reno Mile and Journal Jog 8K.
• Race shirt if you purchased one.

We will provide you with a race bib that you can print out along with the race specials. Depending on where you live, you may be able to take advantage of certain race specials from the local businesses.

Results/Awards

We will not be posting the times of virtual race participants and we will not be giving out awards to them. However, if you email Kelly by September 13, 2021 at 9 a.m. PST, we will add your name in the section of the results listing virtual participants.
